This two-day working summit convenes industry guests, community colleges, Georgia State University, MIT and other key stakeholders to shape the future of AI career education. Together, we will launch a co-design of two-year AIx career pathways that equip students with both practical and responsible AI skills, while building a scalable, shared implementation model tailored to the community college context.

Summit Kickoff: Opening Plenary - Welcome to PATH
The PATH initiative is an opportunity for a national movement to create scalable AI career pathways with community colleges at its heart. Speakers will frame the national workforce moment, describe the PATH model, including its curriculum, skills taxonomy, and industry partnerships, and outline the goals of the summit as a collaborative design effort.

The Georgia PATH Hub: Designing modular AI career pathways

This presentation describes the PATH initiative at GSU, serving as the Georgia hub for scalable, workforce-aligned AI talent pathways. It highlights MIT–GSU–industry collaboration in curriculum co-development, skills alignment, and stackable credentialing aligned with workforce needs. The session showcases GSU’s AI pathway portfolio delivered at scale, integrated work-based learning, and the role of partner institutions in regional expansion. It also outlines a developing hub platform for coordination and concludes with strategies for scaling delivery to meet workforce demand.

The panel will also explore how education programs can better align with industry needs and how this initiative can help build a stronger and more inclusive AI talent pipeline.

Panelists will share challenges and opportunities related to incorporating AI skills, including creating credentials,  faculty readiness, institutional resources, and student needs. Panelists will also reflect on what successful implementation requires and how collaboration on a national scale can create benefits locally.

The discussion will surface what nonprofits and educational institutions need most, what funders are looking for now, and how initiatives like PATH can move from strong pilots to a broader national movement.

Day Two Kickoff: From Vision to Implementation
Brief recap of key insights from Day 1 and an introduction to the day’s focus on demonstrating and exploring the PATH curriculum in practice. Participants will hear how the masterclasses are designed to illustrate the teaching approaches, learning experiences, and industry relevance embedded in the program.

Foundations in AI • Data in Action • Machine Learning in Action • Agentic AI in Action
Participants will attend live demonstrations of selected PATH curriculum modules: a tangible look at how the curriculum is taught, highlighting classroom activities, action learning experiences, and connections to real-world job role and AI applications.

PATH Masterclasses - Round 2
Foundations in AI • Data in Action • Machine Learning in Action • Agentic AI in Action
Participants will rotate to a second masterclass session, allowing them to experience another component of the PATH curriculum. These sessions continue to showcase different aspects of the program, from technical foundations and applied AI tools to human-centered and responsible AI competencies.

Co-Design Conversation: What Should PATH Look Like at Your Institution?
In this closing working session, participants reflect on the curriculum demonstrations and discuss how PATH could take shape at their own institutions. The conversation will gather feedback on curriculum design, implementation models, and partnerships, and outline next steps for pilots and continued collaboration across the PATH network.

All programming will take place on the 12th floor of the Buckhead Center except registration on the first day that will be in the main lobby area on the first floor. Sessions will be hosted in Suite 1203 unless otherwise noted. All food will be served in the 12th floor lounge area.
